Draft — still being shaped with our founding board
The Southwest Junior Billiards Association (SWJBA) is a regional association dedicated to the development of young people, under the age of eighteen, through the sport of billiards.
SWJBA provides a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where, through instruction, league play, and age-appropriate competition, youth build character, discipline, confidence, concentration, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility — lessons in focus, patience, and perseverance that extend well beyond the table and into life. The Association is committed to inclusivity, ensuring that every young person, regardless of background or skill level, has a genuine place within our programs.
Through two complementary tracks — Junior Billiards Education, offering skill development through clinics and one-on-one instruction and coaching, and Junior Billiards Competition, offering structured competitive play through leagues, tournaments, and the Southwest Tour — SWJBA serves both the player seeking to grow through focused instruction and the player pursuing competitive excellence.
Serving four states — Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and California — from the outset, SWJBA is building a lasting, well-governed pathway for junior billiards throughout the Southwest, beginning with local chapters in each state and culminating in the Southwest Cup, our interstate championship.
Meet the people building it
SWJBA is being founded by six volunteers across four states, each bringing junior billiards programs to their own community.
